On Sunday we spent the day in Virginia. First we went to Mount Vernon.
Next was Arlington National Cemetery.
We had been going pretty hardcore since they landed on Thursday night so after Arlington National Cemetery we decided to go to Old Town for dinner and go home. Well it just so happened that the train we were on had a mechanical error - just a little electrical fire, nothing major...so instead of waiting in the stinky metro station while they fixed the problem we walked to the Pentagon Memorial. The Pentagon Memorial is one of my favorite memorials - probably because I remember exactly where I was when I heard about the events of September 11.
By the time we made it back to the metro station everything was cleared out and we had an uneventful rest of the evening at home watching the CMA's.
