Suits

Have you seen this show?
I am seriously addicted to this show. Probably in part because one of the leading men is Gabriel Macht.
I am in love!
Besides the fact that I have a huge crush on Harvey (Gabriel Macht), the show is very well written and has amazing character development. The show does use a lot of foul language and there is a little drug use, so if you are sensitive to that stuff - don't watch it. I am not, therefore I will continue to watch it. Speaking of watching Suits, a group of us at work have spent the last month at work watching an episode during our lunch hour. And on Sunday's, Tuf and I, Skype so I can watch the most recent episode, since season 4 just started airing in June on cable.
So, while I am obsessed with the TV show, it has blended into my work life. Mike (in real life) not Mike on the show, wore his new suit to work one day. It was also the day that I "borrowed" his phone and hacked into his Facebook page and said something like "I am looking hot in my new tailored suit." and then I posted the below photo:
Than his friend photo-shopped the photo.
A week ago Alissa, Mike and I wore our suits to work!

And Bonni...well she had just come back from the beach...

Harley

Last week I had the pleasure of watching Harley, while Bonni was out of town! I just love this dog. He is spastic and hyper and loud and so much fun!

On Sunday Harley and Princess met...
At nights I would play ball with Harley. But in order to tire him out faster we played fetch on the stairs!
Tired puppy!
Ball is better as a chew toy than a chase toy.
While at Bonni's, I also took advantage of some hot tub time!
Princess is still my baby.

34th Birthday

At work we do birthday week. Have I mentioned how awesome my co-workers are? Alissa orchestrated a week long food feast. Barb gave me little things throughout the week and one of them was these Larry the Cable Guy, Biscuits & Gravy Tater Chips. They actually were surprisingly good, but they were also very confusing. They tasted like biscuits & gravy but had the consistency of a chip, so my brain was really confused.
Bonni made the amazing Kahlua coffee ice cream cake. Love, love, love it!
Alissa gave me an umbrella for all the rainy days in DC
The awesome bag that Barb gave me!
My desk at 8:30am on my birthday. A ton of tissue paper and a lot of fun gifts!
Barb got me a road trip survival kit complete with 5 hour energy, pistachios, breath saves, chocolate, chocolate laxatives, Clorox wipes, iTunes gift card, Starbucks gift card and the best gift a one-size fits all tank top (and it did fit! This was meant as a joke, but in October when Barb comes to DC I am going to pick her up wearing this tank top). Also, of course before the road trip can happen I have to pack boxes with gummy bear duct tape and mark them with a sharpie. What a well thought out, loving gift. These may seem like silly gifts but they mean so much to me, cause it shows how much Barb knows me.
Besides the umbrella, Alissa also gave me hot pink duct tape, and an awesome coffee sign to hang in my kitchen and a photo of us with Becky and Karin at Meghan's wedding. What a thoughtful gift. Alissa gets me.
For my birthday lunch Stef made my favorite, biscuits & gravy!!! We enjoyed biscuits & gravy while watching our favorite TV show at work - Suits? I could go  on and on about Suits, because it is my new obsession, just watch it - that is all I will say.
The night of my birthday was a pizza party. It started at 6:30pm, and I wanted to arrive early, but Ri wouldn't let me. So instead I went to Starbucks to hang out on my own and sent Ri, sad texts asking her what she was doing on a Friday night, while I sat alone on my birthday at Starbucks. Ri didn't fall for my sad texts, she just ignored me.
At Idaho Pizza was a group of my awesome friends (Lisa, Casey & their 4 kids), Kathie, Jackie, Tracey, Alissa, Danielle & her friend, Becky, Stef, Taryn, Stacy & Robert, Karla & Brent, Chelsea, Justin & their 3 kids, and the host who made all this happen - Ri & Jackson. I felt so honored that so many people would come to my party. I tried to thank each and everyone of them but my emotions got the best of me. I am going to miss all these amazing people. I have been blessed to have such wonderful, loving, funny, caring friends.
Kathie & Jackie taking hilarious selfies at the party.
Me with one of my best friends and host, Ri and her adorable 2 month old baby Jackson.

The lovely Kathie and I
After the pizza party, Li, Ri and I went down to see Fork to hang out and have coffee over some awesome dessert.
I got home around midnight and after 3 trips all my presents and cards were in my apartment. Wow. Wow. Wow. I am loved.
Balloons from Ri - that means a lot, considering she hates balloons.
I truly felt special on my birthday. It was one of my best birthdays ever. Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday.

Professional/Personal

I was going to name this blog post random...but then I realized it was all about my work friends and than I thought of how great of an environment I work in. I do not take a moment of this great environment for granted because not only when I say goodbye to my job of 4 years I am saying goodbye to a caring, loving, hysterical, highly inappropriate work environment.

Pat, one of our IT guys in a kilt...that is normal, right?
I have a drinking problem...at work...I need a support group, maybe we could meet at...Starbucks :)
A group of us get together once a month to watch Gilmore Girls. We are somewhere in Season 3. However, the group members (minus me) decided that I needed to watch some movies that I have missed, so in May we watched, The Sound of Music. How did I miss, never seeing this movie? I really, really, really liked it. Anyways, in April, Barb hosted and we had breakfast for dinner - my fav!

We also had affogato's - amazing!!!
On a Tuesday night in April, Bonni and I went and saw God's not Dead at the new awesome Village in Meridian. Before the movie we had dinner at the Yardhouse. I love that place. I had a yummy pomegranate margarita and I even ate Kung Pao Calamari, and I liked it!

Yeah, okay this is a work post but Princess does have a tie into this. When I go out of town Princess stays at Karin's house. Over Memorial Day, Princess went to Karin's and I guess Karin did not know Princess's weird obsession with popsicle. Princess goes cray cray when she hears the sound of a popsicle wrapper. It doesn't matter what kind of popsicle it is, she wants it and she will get it. However, unlike me, Karin doesn't cave.
Karin also came over to help me fix my sliding glass door vertical blinds. What we thought would be an easy fix of replacing some blinds and the wand turned into about an hour and a half of taking down the entire track of the original blinds and replacing it with a brand new set. But hey, the apartment managers will never know what we did, and if you think about, it they actually have the better end of this because this apartment now has a brand new set of vertical blinds. Yep, I am starting the repairs of a place I have called home for almost 4 years. I take care of apartments but there is just normal wear and tear of things that I need to do, like replacing filters and doorstops.
On Sunday, June 2, Bonni's daughter, Meghan got married. A group of us went to the wedding and I got to wear my favorite dress, now dubbed the wedding dress because I have worn it for the last 3 weddings. I just love the back!
Trying to take photos with the sun in our eyes (Karin, Alissa, me and Becky).
Where did Karin go?
Fun in the photo booth with Deb, Karin, Becky, Paul, me, Alissa and Barb.
Great friends!
