On Saturday, March 11 we left on a 5:55am train from Baltimore going to New York City! We all know I like to pack people's schedule when they visit, but I was very mindful that needed to calm it down because Hailey is only 7 and when a 7 year old is pushed to far it only means stress for the adults. So, while I knew that - I still booked a 5:55am train - meaning we left the apartment at 5am - meaning that we were up at 4:30am.
Hay on her first train ride!
We arrived in NYC about 8:30am. We hopped on the subway to our hotel.
After checking into the hotel (yay for early check-in), we headed to the Statue of Liberty. Our subway stop was closed so we had to walk to the next time, and that walk led us through Time Square.
Our only timed tickets in NYC was the Statue of Liberty. Inside the Statue of Liberty:

We climbed to the bass of Statue of Liberty. It was extremely cold and windy outside.
Hailey trying to hide from the wind :)
If you have ever gone to the Statue of Liberty, you know that you also get to go to Ellis Island. Ellis Island is a little boring for a 7 year old - until you find the money from different countries and she wants to compare it to the money that she got as a keepsake.
And back outside for some more skyline photos.
Little miss Hailey enjoyed the snow (aka ice), she was the happiest when she was walking and playing in it.
And just like a true McKinney, we need some jumping photos.
Love.Love.Love.Love.This photo.
This is a little Mere in the making - jumping with her mouth wide open.
And she looks so happy being in New York City.
Getting ready to head back Manhattan for more tourist action!
