Next up, One World Trade Center. Zach is afraid of heights. Yeah, I don't care - how many times will you have the opportunity to go in the tallest building in the United States? Well if you me - 4 times in the last year, but most people may only get to go in once or never. Plus the ride up in the elevators is pretty awesome - you can YouTube the elevator ride, it is actually pretty awesome. The first time I went up One World Trade Center I was in the elevator all by myself and it was amazing!
Once on the 100th floor you can wander around at your own leisure. And Miss Hay loved these monitors that made it look like you are looking straight down on the street (but you are not really).
It is really hard to get good pictures when you are that high up and we were up there at dusk.
You actually start on the 102nd floor and end up on the 100th floor - proof that they were that high up.
After One World Trade Center, we had dinner at a pub and then walked over to Wall Street to see the Charging Bull.
There is also a new temporary statue at the Charging Bull - The Fearless Girl. I don't know much of this statue but it was put to stare down the Charging Bull a couple day before we arrived.
Our hotel was just a few blocks from Time Square. So, we got off the subway a stop before our hotel and walked through Time Square at night. You have to see Time Square at night.
We walked about 10 miles on our first day and this little girl was amazing. Not to mention it was super cold and windy. While the weather was not in our favor, we had a wonderful first day!
