On Monday we needed to switch hotels from midtown to the financial district so I could be closer to my work training. We arrived at the new hotel around 9:30am in hopes that they would let us store our bags so we could go venture out. Well, our room was ready, so we were able to check in early and the even let us have breakfast!
For today we were going to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. I have been to both two times before, once in 2004 and the other in 2007, however, Alissa and Melissa had never been. I am in love with the skyline (One World Trade Center is the huge glass building on the left-side of the photos).
Next up we ventured over to Ellis Island.

After Ellis Island we headed uptown to Penn Station to say goodbye to Melissa as she went back to DC. Alissa and I then went to a shoe store around central park and then headed back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
