We all kind of had a late night, some more than others (*cough* Melissa :)), so on Sunday we started the day with brunch at an adorable restaurant, La Tarte Flambee, that Alissa had found that was a couple blocks from our hotel.
After lunch we rode on the Subway again on our way to Central Park. We took photos like tourists while waiting for the subway.
I love NYC's PSA's! DC should get on board with these kind of reminders.
One of the things that Melissa wanted to do was drink hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps as we strolled through Central Park. When we stopped at Starbucks to get our drinks the barista told us where there was a liquor store. When we went into the liquor store, the employee was not to happy to see us, we think he was in the middle of inventory. But we just wanted some peppermint schnapps, which he did not have. So, as we left the store, we saw the Roosevelt Island Tram - so we took a little detour and took the tram from Manhattan to Roosevelt Island and back. The tram goes over the east river and takes about 15 minutes per trip.
