The day after Thanksgiving we went to Home Depot and got our Christmas tree - Chunky Charlie!
I had created a spreadsheet of things to do in DC, Virginia and Maryland for Christmas. Since we are not sure if we will be in Alexandria next year, we focused some of our adventures on what Alexandria had to offer. Since we missed the official lighting of the National Christmas tree, we decided to go the Christmas tree lighting for Alexandria. We parked downtown on Saturday, November 29, and as we were walking to the market square, we could see that the Christmas tree was our lit...hmnnn...shouldn't the lights not be turned since we were going to the lightening ceremony. Anthony, pulls out his phone and yeah, I had the day wrong. The tree lightening was on Friday, not Saturday. But on the positive side, we still saw the tree and got to take a lot of silly photos.
Crazy eyes!
Let the Christmas season begin!
