On Sunday, April 14, Steph and I decided to celebrate Shakespeare's birthday! DC has such random events sometimes. Steph found this event. It was happening at Folger Shakespeare's Library on Capitol Hill. I rode a bike over to Capitol Hill and was able to stop by Karen's first place in DC over 10 years ago - this is the place I stayed at when I feel in love with DC.
We watched a couple performances from dancing to the very cool sword demonstration.
Then we went inside and was able to watch a short comedy.
The queen showed up!
We sang happy birthday to Shakespeare and enjoyed some free birthday cake.
This was a cool performance:
After the birthday celebration we walked through Capitol Hill on our way to Union Station. It was a beautiful spring day and all the flowers that were in bloom - so majestic.

On our way to Union Station we chilled at Stanton Park and enjoyed the lovely spring afternoon and wonderful conversation with a great friend.
