Proud Auntie!

My dear friend Stacy, had a baby girl, Peyton Isabella on Friday, August 7 at 2:53pm (I had guessed 3:00pm) MST. Peyton weighed in at 7lbs 9ounces and was 20.5 inches long. I am just overwhelmed with joy for Stacy and Robert. I get meet Peyton when I go to Boise in a little over a week!

The happy family. Look at Pey - she is smiling!
 The proud mommy! Love it!
I will be taking a blogging break in the next blog or two (or this might be my last post). I will be back, as I always am. But I am going to Boise for a week and I am going to enjoy every minute of it! I have been away for over a year now and I miss it!
Here are the August photos of I have of Hay and Eli - with a little Zach and Nikki thrown in :)
Hay's first day of 1st grade. How is that big already?
Hay won her first trophy on her horse (Joe) on August 15 for barrel racing.

This was a lost photo of Eli from July - digging into his birthday cake. Mmnn...sugar - so good!
I am one blessed aunt with precious nieces and nephews in my life!

DC Fest

For Tuf and Anthony's birthday, I bought tickets to DC Fest. DC Fest is an all afternoon/evening of Christian concerts. We thought it would be about 4 hours long - like the Outcry concert we went to a few weeks ago. We were wrong. DC fest started at 3pm and ended around 10:30pm. We left around 8:30pm, so we didn't see the headliner, Michael W. Smith. That was okay though, I had seen him years ago and I haven't really followed any of his new music. We did get to see other great artists like Sidewalk Prophets, Josh Wilson, Brandon Health and Crowder. Crowder was amazing! I knew some of his songs, but now I want to buy all his albums - he was a great performer and a strong man of God. I also really enjoyed Brandon Health and Josh Wilson and now I have a little crush on the lead singer of Sidewalk Prophets (he is geeky looking - just my type!).
I am practicing taking selfies - I am still not that good at them...

It was a fun afternoon/evening and I am so glad that so many Christian artists come to the DMV area!

Old Photos of GG

My grandma's younger brother sent me a few pictures of my grandma. I will always cherish anything I can learn about my grandma. I love her and miss her so much. I know I am so blessed to have had her raise me and have had her as a confidant for my young adult life, I just wish she was still here with us. I love you GG!

Kennedy Center Play

Last Sunday we went to a play at the Kennedy Center. We bought tickets for the Broadway hit, Book of Mormon in March. I remember when I bought the tickets I got into a virtual waiting line of 12,000 people! We have been to the Kennedy Center one other time, however the first time we did not go on the terrace. Beautiful views of the Potomac River, Georgetown, Rossyln and Arlington.
I am horrible at taking selfie's, but I am trying. It was also very bright outside and I had to put the sunglasses back on! I also got to wear my new and now favorite dress!

Pretending I am on the Titanic - I know...I am weird!
Lincoln Memorial

The usher lady was rather rude to us and first told us we couldn't have food in the theater, but then we could have certain food and then there was no soda but could have water. And then there was no photos...blah, blah, blah!
I am so glad that we went to the play! It was a neat experience to see a Broadway play at the famous Kennedy Center. The play itself is very crude and insulates pretty much everyone, but it was funny and had some hilarious parts - especially the dancing Starbucks cups.

First National's Game

I am honestly trying to make friends in DC. While I still don't think I will be in DC for more than a couple years, I do think I need friends. So when my work friend Monika (she is from Idaho!) invited to me to a Nationals game I said yes. I am not a baseball person (unlike football), I was going for the social aspect. I invited Melissa because the Nationals were playing the Colorado Rookies and Melissa is from Colorado.
I have never been to National's Park, nor a professional baseball game!
The park is beautiful and huge and thanks to wrong directions we walked the entire park from the first tier to the fourth and finally found our seats on the second tier around the 4th inning.
Selfie time - cause you know, Baseball is not that exciting! My closest friend in DC! I can't believe I have known her for almost 1 year! I am so thankfully we are friend!
West coast girls on the east coast!
Ugh. I may have failed to mentioned that the reason Monika invited me was because it was Vandal's night..I went to support Idaho in general :)
Needed to get Rich (Monika's) husband in the photo!
Go Idaho! The state not the University of Idaho.
Our seats were pretty good and I did watch some of the game - like 5 minutes...when the Rockies hit a home run and scored 4 points, which lead them to win the game.
Monika's boss was also at the game so we stopped over and said hi to him and his wife.
Such a fun evening with DC friends!
