We went to the Pentagon Memorial on the evening of September 11, 2014 - 13 years after a plane sliced through the building killing 184 people. I had been to the Pentagon Memorial in 2008 when it opened and we also went when Leslie was here. But we felt it was appropriate to visit and pay our respect on September 11.
It is a little eerie to be at the Pentagon looking at the building and remembering the events of September 11 and see and hear a plane above.
This is the Air Force Memorial
The memorial is simply beautiful.
We were able to watch them roll up the flag.
