Saturday, February 20, was going to be a beautiful day, in the 60's! We have had a very cold winter, so we all were looking forward to a nice day. The cousins and I decided to go explore Annapolis, since we only live about 40 minutes away and the last time we were going to go to Annapolis we ended up in Rehoboth, Delaware. Outside of Annapolis we stopped at Sonic (us west coast people love our Sonic drinks!) and then Tuf saw this adorable Cupcakery! These are mini-cupcakes...and we love, love, love them!
Let the exploration of Annapolis begin!
After parking we walked around the downtown corridor. The church steeple on Main Street is St. Anne's Episcopal Church.
State House dates back to 1772.
Thurgood Marshall statue.
Cool tree in front of church.
I love little things, look at this adorable mailbox!
While you need tickets to get into the Naval Academy, we walked around the visitors entrance. We will come back and tour the Naval Academy on another day.
Walking around the pier area.
After wandering through some of the stores we decided to see if we could see more of the Chesapeake Bay. So we decided to go to Thomas Point Park. What we didn't know was that Thomas Point Park is closed during the winter months. So, looking at the map, we decided to go to Beverley-Triton Park. When we got to the park, there was a sign that said it would be closing at 5pm - which was 2 minutes away. But you know, some laws are meant to be broken, and they really wouldn't lock us in, would they? We just wanted to see the Chesapeake Bay!!
After walking down a very muddy path we found the beautiful water!!!
Love the moon shot in this day photo.
This Nevada girl loves anytime she is around water!
Love that we are exploring the area more and more. These are memories that we will always remember!!!
