Baltimore's Inner Harbor

On Labor Day we went to Baltimore. As we embark on our 2nd year in DC we have decided that we want to do more exploring outside of DC. So, for our first adventure we went to our neighbor that is only 20ish miles from our home. Baltimore has a bad wrap, especially after the rioting earlier this year, and while I'm not sure I would want to be in Baltimore at night - the Inner Harbor is very touristy. As we started walking around the Inner Harbor we ran across Bumblebee at Ripley's Believe it or Nor. We all know my love affair for Bumblebee, after he the reason my car has his name!

In the Inner Harbor there are many cool ships!
This is by far the most amazing Barnes and Noble I have ever been in!

There are also some interesting sculptures!

This light house was moved to where it now sits in 1997.
After walking around the Inner Harbor we did a tour! I love these kinds of things. We went on a speed boat around the Inner Harbor and onto the Patapsco River. It was so much fun!

The most adorable little pirate ship, ever!
UnderArmour's Headquarters
Active military ships - they are huge!!!

Fort McHenry - was made famous when the soldiers successfully defended Baltimore against the British, and from that our National Anthem, Star Spangle Banner was born!
The boat is gaining speed - and Tuf is going to get drenched!
After our speedboat tour we had dinner at Bubba Gump and came home.
Here is to year 2 on the east coast - bring it on!
