Postal Museum

As silly as this may sound, part of our DC bucket list was the Postal Museum. The Postal Museum is part of the Smithsonian Institute and was the main post office in Washington, DC from 1914-1986.
The Penny Black is the world's first adhesive postage stamp from Great Britain. The Penny Black is a profile picture of Queen Victoria.

The Postal Museum has a lot of interesting exhibits and I learned some new things about history!

These are a few stamps that I thought were pretty cool.

Unique mailboxes from around the world.
So many stamps and this was just one side of just one room out of many rooms...so many stamps!

The first floor had a few interactive exhibits with history facts about the evaluation of the Post Office.

After the Postal Museum, I showed my DC bucket list buddy, Stephanie my new apartment since it was only .5 miles from the Postal Museum then wen to Union Market for some local snacks! It was a fun third adventure for us on our mission to explore the local areas of DC!
