One World Trade Center & Ride Home

After Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island we went to the 9/11 Museum. I had been to the 9/11 Museum in February and to see those pictures, click here. The 9/11 is a must see if or in NYC. Remember how I went to New York in February, well when we were planning this April trip, I thought we could do things as quickly as I did in February. But like DC, NYC has a tourist season and it starts in the spring. Therefore, there are lines and you are not the only person going to these places. I did not account for standing in line when buying tickets. We ended up spending an extra hour at the 9/11 museum - bu thankful the One World Trade Center Observatory is flexible with their day time hours.
One World Trade Center is beautiful day or night.

Before you see the view of NYC from 102 floors above ground they show you this awesome video.

Seriously, if you are NYC go to One World Trade Center you will not be disappointed.

Looking down at the footprints of where the towers once stood...that alone is a somber moment.

After a quick bite to eat, we got back on the subway to head to Midtown to find our bus.
On our bus ride back to DC we had a table on the bottom deck of the bus. The table was so much better. We played Ticket to Ride on our phones and tried to ignore the crazy scary windy, rainy ride home.
James and I apparently can't take a good picture together.
James - no eyes, Mere - crazy eyes.
It was an excellent 2 days in NYC. I love this city and appreciate it more and more every time I go.
