Christmas time in the DC area metro is one of my favorite times. I can't believe this is my 3rd Christmas on the east coast! A tradition that is a must for me is Mount Vernon - cause Aladdin is there! And Mount Vernon is just beautiful.
After Mount Vernon we had dinner at Holy Cow in the Del Ray part of Alexandria (haven't ate there in over a year - so good). After dinner we stopped by the Pentagon Memorial.
Then we drove to the Iwo Jima Memorial and on a clear night it is a fantastic site line into DC.
