After the play we were floating on cloud 9! Nothing couldn't top meeting Zac. So, we decided to go to the Empire State Building. However, when we got there the building was closed because of some reason that they wouldn't tell us why. So, since it was only midnight in NYC we decided to go to Time Square!
After walking up and down Time Square we walked over to Rockefeller Center. As we were walking past 30 Rock Questlove (Jimmy Fallon's band leader).
After Rockefeller Center we walked back to Time Square to catch the Subway. As were were going to walk down to the Subway some people told us that the Subway stop was closed, so rather than figure out what to do at 1am we cabbed it to our hotel in Chinatown. The hotel itself was nice, the area was just a tad bit different then where I have stayed before.
For the end of May 4 we walked 16,270 steps (7.22 miles) between DC and NYC.
We went to bed around 2:30am and neither of us didn't sleep well...it may have been because I kept looking at the photo of Zac and I on my phone.
I woke up around 6:30am to start our only full day in NYC. We were able to walk to the 9/11 museum from our hotel, while leaving our bags at the hotel. After the 9/11 museum (photos of the 9/11 museum are in my blog post in February or click here.) We went to Battery Park to get on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty.
We had a wonderful afternoon at Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
While this was our 2nd and 3rd activity for NYC we still had much more to do. Back to Manhattan we go!
