March was unique in the fact that it was colder than February. March came in with a lot of force with Windmageddon on March 2. The federal government was closed, all the Smithsonian's were closed. Over 60,000 people lost power for a couple days. I watched the wind storm from the safety of my office and apartment. It was amazing to see and hear of some of the stories that happened.
My food for the month was turkey chili. It was good! I have actually been super proud of myself for cooking more and eating the leftovers for lunch.
Princess spent March warming up to me and the apartment. She still won't sleep with me, but at least she will hang out in the same room and found her love for hanging out in the bathtub (weird kitty that loves water way too much :)).
For the second year in a row, DC did not have a winter. No snow. That was until the last Wednesday in March when we got about 4 inches. I don't like snow. But I find it funny how the city shuts everything down with snow, I know they do because of safety for the few million people, but in Idaho this would have just been another work day. In DC, I did have to work, but I worked from the comfort of my couch. This is my courtyard.
City view from the roof.
Nothing to see outside my office window...besides police officers and caution tape... It turned out to be nothing, but still added some excitement to my Thursday afternoon.
Ugh, and yes I will collect the DC one, because I collect everything DC!
My brother's family is so precious!
