First Weekend in Boise!

On Friday, August 26 I started my trek back to Idaho for my annual visit. I like to fly Southwest because of points. But by flying Southwest you usually have to fly to random places. My trip to Boise took about 10 hours and I first flew to New Orleans and then Denver and finally Boise. Thankfully I had some reading material to occupy my time. I was also debating a major life decision (that will be discussed in another blog).
I arrived around midnight and my amazing friend, Karin picked me up. After spending a couple hours catching up we went to bed and the next morning the first thing we did was...going to DUTCH BRO's - it's official - I am HOME! And like last year, my sob story of not having DB paid off and I got 9 punches on my first order!
And then we had breakfast at the Egg Factory - so nice to be home!
After breakfast, Karin took me to the airport where I picked up my rental car. I had a little bit of free time before I was due at Bonni's. So, I had to stop at Costa Vida for the best salad in the world!
At Bonni's, Alissa and I helped clean out Bonni's closet - one of my favorite past times!
Then in the evening a group of amazing friends came to Bonni's for our annual BBQ. It is so great to catch up with these amazing people (Top, L-R: Troy, Paul, Mere, Barb, Craig, Becky; Bottom, L-R: Jack, Bonni, Karin, Danielle, Alissa, Danielle, Tracey).
The above photo was our finally good photo, this photo shows how dorky we all are! I love Becky's superwomen pose!
And like last year, we took funny circle photos!

Awkward boy circle.
I spent the night in Bonni's fabulous guest room and on Sunday morning I went to my church, Eagle Christian - I love this church. And yes, I know I need to break the bond after 2 years, but it is just so nice that I can stream it live from Maryland.
After church - Barb, Paul and I went to brunch at Brick 29. I have been to Brick 29 numerous times for lunch, but never for their amazing brunch. Wow! This place is amazing and all you can eat bacon - who does that? ME!!!!

Then for the afternoon I spent the afternoon with Cristi, Twaan and Finn - including our cold date ritual (cold date = fro yo!).
And for the evening - Barb, Paul and I went to Idaho Pizza. Do you see a theme with my Idaho visit? Food! Idaho has the best food!
And drinking - drinking a lot of Dutch Bro's. Total punches after 2 days.
