Pumpkin Carving!

On Sunday, October 18, Tuf and Anthony talked me into carving pumpkins and I have to admit it was a lot of fun! I cleaned out all the pumpkin guts and sorted out the pumpkin seeds while Anthony and Tuf carved! We make such a great team!!

Tuf is so creative! And she suggested my pumpkin be Idaho while her's would be Texas! Love it!
Obviously pumpkin carving requires power tools...

I heart Idaho!!!
 Anthony carved Darth Vader!

Our pumpkins freakin rock!!!! Now our neighborhood knows where our hearts are at (well at least Tuf and I).
What a fun family activity!!!

Virginia Beach

On Sunday we did a little more exploring, by driving the hour south to Virginia Beach!!!
Look how cute Peyton is!

When we arrived in Virginia Beach we decided to eat at this Irish Pub that Stacy and Robert had ate at a couple month ago. I was seriously surprised and a little intrigued by the $2.00 mimosa!

Now for the beach! First off is this statue of Neptune:

Atlantic Ocean!!!!

It was a fun weekend seeing my friends in their new home and hanging with Pey! Who would have thought that we would both be on the east coast and just 4 hours away?!?!?! Yay for us west coast people living on the east coast!!!

Yorktown

On the night of Friday, October 9, I took my first Amtrak ride (I don't count the quick 20 minute ride to Baltimore's airport), to Yorktown , Virginia to see Stacy, Robert and Peyton who had just moved into their house one week prior. I arrived about an hour late on Friday night so that night Stacy showed me around her new house.
On Saturday we ventured into downtown Yorktown to look at their little market and see some water!

For lunch we tried a barbecue place called Smoke.
Then we drove to downtown Newport News and came across the classic Love sign for Virginia!
The reason why we were in downtown Newport News was because there was a Maggie Moo's! I thought Maggie Moo's was only a Boise thing but they are a franchise. While Maggie Moo's closed in Boise a few years ago, I still remember their amazing cinnamon ice cream! I was over the moon excited about having Maggie Moo's ice cream!!!!

For the rest of the afternoon we hung out at their home and I got to cuddle with this little lady for the entire evening!!! We also watched BSU kill Colorado State. It was fun to watch a game with my BSU friend!
